This guy is Balthier, a sky pirate from Final Fantasy XII. He should have been the leading man. Even he knew it :XD:

I like Balthier also. :) You are proceeding quiet well. Just add shadows and highlights, finish the background and you are done. However I should say it looks also good in this state. :)

I like this coloring so far. You complained about your lineart on this. I can't really tell how much to blame on your scanner. I find using pencil to do lineart is pretty much always scratchy looking when scanned. It *can* look marvelous - just look at Disney art post Xerox and pre-CGI. To get consistent sharp lines I would think you need to ink it with a rappidograph pen - or a brush for those gliding thick and thin line variations. But ink is such a hassle. Today, I'd load the scan into a vector program like Adobe Illustrator to finesse the lines.
Then again, if you get real painterly with your coloring - those scratchy little lines will disappear/not matter. That's what to aim for -Eh? ;)
